As a recognition of her work with I-sustain, Patricia was made an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects in 2007 "for creating a uniquely effective program to educate and inspire political and business leaders through international models of sustainable design and development."
At the request of the Mayor of Seattle, Greg Nickels, she was a member of the 2008 Mayor's Green Building Task Force, which provided guidance on appropriate policy mechanisms that would reduce the energy use of new and existing buildings by 20%.
Patricia was a board member of the Cascade Bicycle Club, the largest bicycling organization in the US, and is co-authoring a book entitled, "Global Best Practices in Urban Sustainability."
Luis' passion for architecture, technology, and social issues brought him to work with I-Sustain in 2006. As a partner and lead consultant, Luis applies a holistic and international design perspective to the study of complex environmental, socio-cultural, and economic issues. He was a co-founder of the NGO, the International Sustainability Institute (ISI) in 2007.
Luis' recent projects include: Solid Waste Management: A Comparison between Seattle and Copenhagen, for the City of Seattle and, Sustainable New Neighborhood Development for Whitehorse, Canada, and the video presentation "The Semantics of Sustainability".
Jayson Antonoff co-founded I-Sustain in 2003 while researching Denmark's remarkable transformation from dependence on foreign energy sources to its current status as an energy exporter. Jayson is now the full-time Energy and Climate Change Advisor for the City of Seattle's Green Building Team.
He is lead for the Dept. of Planning and Development on several of the city's most important initiatives including the Building Performance Scorecard, the analysis and revision of existing building codes which inhibit energy efficiency, and cross-departmental development of an electric car infrastructure.
Through Aalborg University in Denmark, he received a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Planning, one of the few such programs in the world at the time.
